Person Badge
The
aim of this technique is to encourage a happy attitude and share it
around your workplace or community.
BEFORE
YOUR START - you will need to create a
HAPPY PERSON badge - something bright and cheerful and conspicuous.
The
Process and Rules:
- Each day a different
person wears the Happy Person badge - they wear it all day and at
the end of the day they nominate the next day's recipient.
- While wearing
the badge, everyone else has to be positive and supportive towards
them - ie they say nice things and help them to feel happy.
- No negative comments
are allowed and therefore the person wearing the badge can experience
a WHOLE DAY of positive affirmations.
- While it is up
to the "Happy Person" to nominate the next day's recipient,
I suggest they choose a person who they consider to be unhappy, grumpy
or the least communicative. This not only signals the recipient that
they need to "lighten up", but it gives them an opportunity
to be on the receiving end of some "positive re-inforcement".
- Ideally, this
technique works best where everyone within a group is willing to participate.
